OpenWF Composition

This section describes the OpenWF Composition (OpenWF-C) components. OpenWF-C is an open standard for layered graphics composition developed by the Khronos Group.

Variant: ScreenPlay. Target audience: Device creators.

• OpenWF Composition Interface Overview
  The OpenWF Composition Interface Component provides the Symbian platform with a consistent interface to the open-source, cross-platform OpenWF Composition (OpenWF-C) APIs defined by the Khronos Group. The OpenWF-C Interface component includes the Khronos-released header files and some Symbian-specific files. It does not provide any implementations of the APIs.
• OpenWF Support Component Overview
  The OpenWF Support component provides a Symbian-specific implementation of platform-specific elements of the OpenWF-C specification and abstracts communication between the OpenWF-C Engine and other Symbian graphics components.
• OpenWF Composition Engine Component Overview
  The OpenWF Composition (OpenWF-C) Engine component consists of a reference implementation of the OpenWF-C Interface. Device creators can replace the Symbian platform implementation with their own.
