3GP Library Component Overview

This document introduces you to the 3GP Library Component.

Purpose

The 3GP Library Component provides support for the reading (parsing) and writing (composing) of various multimedia container formats. You can use the 3GP Library Component to parse and compose the following file types:

  • 3GP

  • 3G2

  • MP4

Architectural relationships

The 3GP Library Component is a standalone component in the Multimedia Plug-ins collection. The following diagram shows the architecture of the 3GP Library Component:

Library Description

3gplibrary.dll

The Symbian C++ wrapper classes for parsing and composing 3GP, 3G2, and MP4 files. For more information, see 3GP Library Overview.

Typical uses

The 3GP Library Component lets you compose and parse 3GP, 3G2, and MP4 files.
