In the Find what field, type your search criterion.

Specify the following options as needed:

Match whole word only: the searchable text must be found from the
+text separated with white space in both sides. For example, finding ell
+ with this option will not find, for example, a line containing the word
+hello. If this option is off, the line will be found.
+
Match case: the search is case-sensitive. For example, finding
+Hello will not find a line hello world because the case of the
+h letter is different.
+
Regular expression search: to find traces with a specific search
+pattern. The syntax of the regular expressions can be found from
+java.util.regex.Pattern.
+

To start the search, click Find next.
Traces that match the
+criteria are high-lighted on the view.

Tip: There are few shortcuts you can use:

ALT + w - Enables / Disables the "Match whole word only" option
+
ALT + c - Enables / Disables the "Match case" option
