14
This section describes the overview and functions provided by the SendAs |
15 component.
16

Purpose

The SendAs component provides a high-level |
17 APIs for client applications that wish to include a SendAs menu to |
18 allow users to send content through any of the supported message types. It |
19 acts as a wrapper that allows access to the common functionality of email, |
20 SMS, and OBEX components.

For example, SendAs allows a word processor |
21 document to be sent as an email, or a contact as a vCard (either attached |
22 to an email or as an SMS).

35 Client applications use this to connect to the SendAs Server.

Client |

36 applications create messages using the <xref href="GUID-4499491F-FA1A-38E1-BB13-1AB184A31DA6.dita"><apiname>RSendAsMessage</apiname></xref> API. |

38 creates a SendAs message in the SendAs Server. This allows client applications |
39 to create multiple messages concurrently.

Important: There |

47 applications to create messages in the Drafts folder of a Message Store. The |
