13 <p>The Base Starter is started by the File Server, <filepath>EFILE.EXE</filepath>, |

14 near the end of the boot process. </p> |

15 <p> <filepath> EFILE.EXE</filepath> initialises generic file services. <filepath>e32strt.exe</filepath> performs |

16 handset specific initialisation. The Base Starter completes the initialisation |
|
17 of the file server, and then creates the system starter process. The system |
|
18 starter process is the next process in the chain of processes responsible |
|
19 for starting all the major Symbian platform services. The following |
|
20 diagram shows the relative position of the Base Starter in the start-up sequence. </p> |
