14 <p>The digitizer hardware provides coordinate values that are digitized raw |

15 voltage values. These values are not the same as screen coordinates, which |
|
16 are based on pixel positions. The digitizer converts the raw values into screen |
|
17 coordinates and vice-versa. </p> |

18 <p>Screen coordinates always have their origin at the top left hand corner |
|
19 of the screen, but the digitizer has no such constraint - its origin, orientation |
|
20 and scaling are generally different from the screen coordinate system. This |
|
21 means that the digitizer needs to be calibrated so that digitizer coordinates |
|
22 can be translated to screen coordinates. </p> |
