To create a Communications Database configuration it is necessary to know: </p> <ul><li id="GUID-14491609-62FA-56AF-A7ED-F8F068D48814"><p>the device to test </p> </li> <li id="GUID-EB6B1448-3FA3-520B-B60E-0111096D5AA0"><p>the bearer to use as a test channel </p> </li> <li id="GUID-4E1BBEA9-42DC-53CE-88A6-92D9B3979E39"><p>the bearer to use for the control channel, if the control channel is in use. </p> </li> </ul> <p>It is not necessary to change the configuration of <i>Communications Database</i> if it is already configured by a previous test run on the <i>DUT</i> and an existing test channel is in use. </p> </context> <steps id="GUID-64BE5DA9-C20D-5A89-8175-44D8193E1EEF"><step id="GUID-1FA6E719-72D1-5137-9AE4-494FAEF8F1A5"><cmd>To configure the hardware reference board, the NetPerftest suite is distributed with a set of sample communications database. This sample configuration is stored in <codeph>%EPOCROOT%epoc32\tools\netperf\data</codeph>. </cmd> <info>The configuration file can be in one of the two formats, XML or CFG. An XML file is a standard Communications Database configuration file.
