<p> This setting can be useful if you port Symbian platform from
a version previous to 9.1. </p>
<p>A number of <xref href="GUID-3DD52BA7-2EB9-52D4-9BF0-A0A4A2B6BD54.dita">global
platform security configuration settings</xref> apply when you build a ROM
image. By default, the settings are ON and no capabilities are specified for
removal. </p>
<p>If you change the settings and specify capabilities for removal, you must
first define the macro <codeph>__PLATSEC_UNLOCKED__</codeph> in the <filepath>variant.mmh</filepath> file
of your target device and rebuild the kernel. In the template port, you can
find this file in <filepath>...\template\template_variant\variant.mmh</filepath>. </p>
<p>Define the macro: </p>

<p>If you do not define this macro, changes to the settings when you build
a ROM image are ignored. </p>
<p>Use of this macro can be good for migration, but remove the macro and rebuild
the kernel on production devices. </p>
