iMaker Dialog

Before you can build a ROM image, you must define preferences for a configuration. In iMaker, a configuration can be thought of as a container of product and other information.

You can launch the iMaker dialog by choosing Open iMaker Dialog... option from the iMaker pulldown menu on the toolbar. When the dialog is opened, user must select an available substed environment from the “Environment in use” combo box and iMaker Dialog dialog will be populated with data from the selected environment.

Once data is filled in the Dialog flashable image can be created by pressing the Run button in the bottom of the dialog.

Editing the preferences for a configuration

  1. Select a product from the Product drop-down menu.
  2. After the product is chosen, choose HWID from the HWID drop-down menu.
  3. Use the Add target drop-down menu to choose a target and click the Add target button. The selected build targets are shown in the Selected targets list box.

The Clear targets button clears the Selected targets list. Note that it is not possible to change the order of the selected targets, clear targets and add new ones, if changes to the selected targets are required. Also note that the Add target drop-down menu selection does not affect image building in any way.

  4. Select Image type, possible Flags, and enter additional build parameters in the Additional parameters field if necessary.
  5. Clicking Save or Save as... to save preferences to a file. You can specify the default directory for these preferences files in the iMaker Preferences page via Window->Preferences...>iMaker or by simply clicking the Specify directory button.
  6. It is also possible to delete selected preferences or create new preferences file by selecting the menu items on the list.
