Building a ROM Image
This section explains the process of building a ROM image. You can invoke
the BUILDROM tool to build a ROM image.
The following image depicts how the BUILDROM command enables the building
of a ROM or a ROFS image:
BUILDROM accepts the individual component-specific OBY/IBY files, and
then invokes the ROMBUILD or the
ROFSBUILD tool to generate a ROM image or a
ROFS image. You can also specify the option to generate a
data drive image with the
ROM/ROFS image.
For details on how to use the BUILDROM command, refer to
BUILDROM command syntax.
Note:If you wish to build a ROM image without using any
graphical element, then you can use the command Rom –v=h2
and
build a text shell ROM image.
