SDK Support in Carbide.c++

To complete your installation and start Symbian C++ application development, you must install the following:

Installing Perl

The Carbide.c++ tools require a copy of Perl to run build scripts. You can download ActivePerl 5.6.1.625 from the Forum Nokia site until Dec 31, 2010. Starting in 2011, ActivePerl will be part of the SDK package and users will not need to download separately.

Perl (www.activestate.com)

BEFORE 31-DEC-2010: ActivePerl-5.6.1.635 from Forum Nokia
(5.6.1 is required by Symbian tools, later versions will not work)
AFTER 31-DEC-2010: All SDKs will include Perl as part of the installer.
Consult the Forum Nokia or the Symbian Foundation sites for details.

Also, you must install at least one of the following SDKs to develop Symbian applications:

NOTE Carbide.c++ requires SDKs built to support WINSCW format.
