There are several dependencies related to adding Tabs to a UI Design.
First you will need to add the Navi Pane Tabs control to your main UI Design (application.uidesign). To do this:

Figure 2 - Tabs Added to Design
NOTE Only one Navi Pane Tab control can be added to your application's UI Design. However, you can control the number of tabs that will appear by selecting menu options in the Properties view for the control. Up to four tabs can be displayed.
Select the UI Designs tab in the application editor and ensure that the Enable Navigation Pane Tabbing checkbox is enabled. Selecting and unselecting this checkbox will add or remove the Tab control from your design.
In the Tab Details section there are two radio buttons for setting either Text or an Image for a tab's title (Figure 3).

NOTE Select the radio button next to the name of the UI Design that you want to appear as the initial screen. Select the name of each UI Design and not the associated radio button and then specify whether the design is part of the tab group and specify an image or text title for each design's tab.
In the AppUi tab select the Navi Pane Tab control in the design and select the Properties view to display available options; as shown in Figure 4. Ideally you would have a UI Design for each tab you specify for the tab group.
