<h1>Custom Components</h1>
<p>This section provides information on how to create your own custom components. Tutorials are provided; along with an explanation of how they were created. More detailed information for the related XML elements used in building a component definition file is also provided.</p>

<p>A <a href="menu_force_save.htm">component menu</a> is provided to support standard and custom components. If not visible in the main menu bar, you can enable the Components menu. Select <strong>Window > Customize Perspective...</strong> and select the Commands tab. In the list of Available command groups, check <strong>Carbide.c++ UI Designer Components</strong> and click OK to close the dialog box. The Components menu will appear between the Project and Run menus.</p>
