Saving screenshots

You can take both single screenshots and sequential screenshots at predefined intervals. Before taking screenshots, you can define a file prefix and location in the Remote Control preferences. The default file prefix is screenshot. There is no default location for saving screenshots; if you do not define a location in the preferences, you will be asked for a location the first time you save a single screenshot.

Note: Screen shots are always saved in the original size, and the zoom level does not affect the screen size.

Saving a single screenshot

  1. In the Screen Capture mode, click .

    If you do not have an HTI connection to the target device, the button appears dimmed indicating that you cannot save a screenshot.

  2. In the Save As dialog, specify a file name and a location for the screen shot. Screen shots are saved in the Portable Network Graphics (.PNG) file format.

Saving multiple screenshots

  1. In the Screen Capture mode, click . The button changes to .

    If you do not have an HTI connection to the target device, the button appears dimmed indicating that you cannot save multiple screenshots.

  2. If you have not defined a path for saving screenshots, you will get a warning about a missing path. Click OK and set a path. For details, see Setting Remote Control preferences.
  3. Screen shots are saved every time the screen view changes to the defined location in the Portable Network Graphics (.PNG) file format. The Remote Control toolbar shows the message Saving images to <path>.
  4. To stop taking screenshots, click . The Remote Control toolbar shows the message N images saved to <path>.
