this is to see what happens when the incoming text exceeds the RFC-822 line limit of 80 characaters.
This should never happen but we need to find out what the parsing code will do with the data anyway.

...and back to some nicely formatted stuff to see whether the parser =
can recover sufficiently to carry on with the rest of the mail =
message.
