    14 <p>Vertical lists are used extensively in most applications. Two-dimensional

    15 grids are less frequently used, but have obvious advantages in some situations.

    16 In lists and grids, the user can move the focus from one item to another using

    17 the Arrow keys. This is called browsing or scrolling.</p>

    18 <p>In tap-enabled devices, a menu item can be opened by touch down and release.</p>

    19 <p>In general, vertical browsing is preferred over horizontal browsing; the

    20 keypad solutions should take this into account.</p>
