WinPcap 4.0</title><shortdesc><i>WinPcap</i> is used by Symbian platform's <i>Ethernet Physical
Device Driver</i> (PDD) to send and receive ethernet frames.</shortdesc><prolog><metadata><keywords/></metadata></prolog><conbody>
<p> The library is a Windows port of the <i>libpcap</i> library used by the <i>tcpdump</i> program
on Unix and Linux. </p>
<p>The emulator works with version <b>4.0</b> of <i>WinPcap</i>. <codeph>4.0-WinPcap.exe</codeph> is
freeware and can be downloaded from <xref href="http://www.winpcap.org/archive/" scope="external">http://www.winpcap.org/</xref>. </p>
<p> <note> Disclaimer: Symbian platform gives NO guarantees to the state and
usability of WinPcap, and will not be liable for any damage and/or loss caused
during/after the driver is installed</note>. </p>
<p>It is important that only one copy of <i>WinPcap</i> is installed at once.
Use '<filepath>Control Panel &gt;&gt; Add Remove Programs</filepath>' to uninstall
any existing copies of the software before installing the new one. </p>
