Location Management

The Location Management collection contains components to manage location requests and to interface with a network. It also contains several common core LBS libraries that are used by many components of the LBS subsystem.

  This document describes the purpose of the Location Management collection.
• Location Admin
  Location Admin is an LBS component that contains several common LBS libraries grouped for convenience in a single system component.
• A-GPS Location Manager Overview
  The A-GPS Location Manager is responsible for obtaining a location from A-GPS hardware.
• Network Location Manager Overview
  The Network Location Manager is responsible for obtaining a location fix from the network on behalf of the LBS Location Server.
• Network Gateway Overview
  The Network Gateway handles interactions between the LBS subsystem and the network.
• Location Monitor Overview
  The Location Monitor is responsible for storing position fixes calculated by the LBS subsystem. It provides the stored fixes to LBS components that request them.
