initialisation</title> <p>During first phase initialisation of start-up, the

kernel calls the ASSP's implementation of <xref href="GUID-A83A7C3C-7DC0-3B9C-842F-70FCC751365D.dita#GUID-A83A7C3C-7DC0-3B9C-842F-70FCC751365D/GUID-63F2135B-4264-3B3B-9B68-656A89BF7EE9"><apiname>Asic::Init1()</apiname></xref>.

For the template reference board, where the ASSP is split into a common, ASSP

layer and a device-specific (variant) layer, interrupt handling is initialised

in the ASSP layer, specifically in <codeph>TemplateAssp::Init1()</codeph>,

defined in <filepath>...\template_assp\template_assp_priv.h</filepath>, and

implemented in <filepath>           ...\template_assp\assp.cpp</filepath>. </p> <p>Note

that interrupts are <i>disabled</i> during first phase initialisation. </p> <p>Within

your implementation of <codeph>Init1()</codeph>, do the following: </p> <ul>

<li id="GUID-21B39DCF-EFF2-56EE-921C-600BAF6DEF2B"><p>Initialise <xref href="GUID-76A30EC4-4B99-5471-9E80-F853C91485BC.dita#GUID-76A30EC4-4B99-5471-9E80-F853C91485BC/GUID-77E83634-BBF6-5190-9434-9FB700547CD0">the ISR table</xref>. </p> <p>It is useful to initialise the ISR table so

that each interrupt is bound, by default, to the <xref href="GUID-76A30EC4-4B99-5471-9E80-F853C91485BC.dita#GUID-76A30EC4-4B99-5471-9E80-F853C91485BC/GUID-9D98586F-AD1D-5C50-9AD8-F81D72135382">Spurious interrupts</xref> handler, with the 32-bit parameter taking the

by <codeph>TemplateInterrupt::Init1()</codeph> in <filepath>...\template_assp\interrupts.cpp</filepath>,

and this is called by <codeph>TemplateAssp::Init1()</codeph>. </p> </li>

<li id="GUID-FBC1F518-7CC8-54FD-AD13-1C74C1C1E414"><p>Register the dispatcher

functions. The Symbian platform kernel needs to know the location of the IRQ

and FIQ dispatchers. It provides the two functions: <xref href="GUID-2A4186A4-DCE1-3726-9D6A-BBA2604FAAF5.dita#GUID-2A4186A4-DCE1-3726-9D6A-BBA2604FAAF5/GUID-7C0DD618-1FA4-39CD-BEE0-E7F5ED018C9C"><apiname>Arm::SetIrqHandler()</apiname></xref> and <xref href="GUID-2A4186A4-DCE1-3726-9D6A-BBA2604FAAF5.dita#GUID-2A4186A4-DCE1-3726-9D6A-BBA2604FAAF5/GUID-390FDCB3-53E7-303C-B6D7-CFBA214E8135"><apiname>Arm::SetFiqHandler()</apiname></xref>,

which the Variant layer must call, passing the addresses of the IRQ and FIQ

dispatchers. </p> <p>On the template reference board, the registration is

any of the interrupt sources that are bound to a chained or pseudo ISR dispatcher.

You don't need to do this if you are enabling and disabling the main interrupt

on demand as the chained or pseudo-interrupts are enabled and disabled. </p> </section>
