It often has the extension <filepath>.DLL</filepath>, though some DLLs have extensions that indicate their particular purpose, e.g. <filepath>.ANI</filepath> for animation DLLs. </p> </li> <li id="GUID-6FDF4195-AB87-5539-97C3-2755B24797B2"><p>Import library: represents the exported interface of the DLL.
